just saw it on the weekend...it was a good movie except the camera effects..shaking a lil too much

I saw it on Saturday. I liked it, and though the ending was very appropriate.

I heard it was filmed in first person, can't really expect the best camera work in that situation. Regardless, I have heard nothing but positive reviews so I will also be seeing this. It's too bad they close the 5 Drive-In Love going there and just chillin out

i agree!

there was also a clue in one of the coney island video bits too... ( i was told about this part before i saw the movie)

BTW - I loved the movie, people who hated it probably expected a regular movie... for what it was supposed to be this was fantastic.

also about the satellite


The Japanese oil company TAGRUATO drops a satellite (Chimpanz III) into the ocean as part
of viral marketing (shown at the end of the movie when Rob and Beth were on the ferris wheel).
TAGRUATO works with SLUSHO (a slush company), as the main ingredient for SLUSHO is found
at the satellite dropzone (deep ocean). While searching for satellite and ingredients, they
woke Cloverfield (the monster).

The main ingredient of Slusho apparently turns a tiny fish into a HUGE whale, which explains
the size of Cloverfield.

I wouldn't want to:

a) freeze my *** off in the car watching 2 or 3 movies in a row in the middle of winter

or

b) leave my car on for those many hours to keep warm while watching movies in my car in the middle of winter
