A Clockwork Orange screening
Hey guys. I just got back from a screening of Clockwork Orange. It was really cool to actually see this movie in film format on the big screen. I saw it @ the Bloor Cinema. That place rocks. Cheap movies, and a cool looking little place.

Is it still showing, I would love to go see it. Thats one of my favourite movies ever. And not cause I'm sick, but because of the the actual meaning behind the story.

Yeah I love the movie. Really fucked up, but those are the best kind. They make you think. Even the music was ******* amazing.
I was passing by the Bloor Cinema earlier in the week and saw that this was playing. I couldn't give up the chance. I've only ever seen it on VHS, so to see it in film on the big screen was so damn cool. It's not playing anymore this month. It might next month but they said probably not for quite a while again.

(Too) Simply?
Duality of man.
Humanity (personified by his love of Beethoven's music and Goethe's words) vs. inhumanity (rape, pillage, gratuitous violence).
Interestingly, Burgess was diagonosed with inoperable cancer and was told by his doctor's that he had six months to live. In those six months, he wrote six books, and was then told the cancer was misdiagnosed! Happy ending.
He died a couple oy years ago. Was a very good composer, too. He wrote 'Earthly Powers', a fantastic book. One of the best of the last thirty years.
