Cell Phone Tracking?
if you know someones cell number but you dont know who the phone belongs to...is there anyway you can find out whos number that is? Can you get the name of the person, because it would be considered personal information right so they wouldnt give it away?!?

If you know the cell number, a little research will tell you which cell company is responsible for it. After that you need to ask somebody that works with that cell company. The average person will automatically tell you "no, that info is confidential" but I think that you could make a legal arguement against that considering the fact of land line phone books. So, with that in mind, when you start asking the people to look up the number, you might want to consider giving them a bribe. Whether it is legal or not is a grey area, but that being beside the point, it's not likely going to be in their job discription and nobody does stuff for free. A $20 or $50 would likely make the whole process much smoother in the long run.

sabre your only part right.
the way it works is when you get a landline number you own that number want to switch to telus or sprint.. sure you keep the number...
with Cell phone companies they buy numbers in bulk from the landline so they own the numbers then they basically rent those numbers out to customers.. want to switch services for cell phone you won't be able to keep your number. ussually numbers are bought in 10,000 digit blocks... so for example all numbers from 647-223-0000 to 647-223-9999 are all bell mobility numbers. if you use a reverse number lookup tool thats what it'kll tell you. this block is refered too as the 647-223 block. anyways thats how it works...
