The new fireware turns the phone into a brick if you try to unlock it. Matt do you know when they roll out the new firmware?

yo matt whats good with the fireware dates? I'm assumign they are going to start shipping out the 1.1's soon.

i would assume so too...well not until they sell all old stock first...and hopefully the dev team will find a crack for stevie jobs' sneaky tactics

I have all the firware and unlock/jailbreak tools on my computer so if/when the update comes that really bricks phones I will still be able to unlock the older versions for people if need be

the 4gb version might not have the resale but its so tempting for 3bills

the ones now still come with the original 1.0 firmware so we're looking at a good month atleast before the 1.1.1 firmware units are even made...but nobody knows when that update is gonna be coming down the itunes pipeline for updates...soooooo the sooner you get one the better and less hassles you will have to go through to unlock it

its almost impossible to brick it during an unlock since if u bugger up u just put it to restore mode and start over

just follow the steps in that link I gave you and you will be fine
