Just curious as to why some of the CD-Rs on the market won't play in some players when you make a VCD??

And why do the pirated ones from say PacMall work?? ARe they not the same? What does the industry use when making VCDs?

Or is it all in the encoding process?

Quality of the disc.....speed of the recording.......lot's of things come into play.......the biggest, is human error.

a lot of pirate cds you get from the pacmall are pressed, not really burned the way a cdr does...

like pulover says, quality of the disc is a big part of it

In my experience most older VCD players don't like 700MB/80min CD's...

It comes down to the age of the VCD/DVD player.

Newer players have a greater tolerance for variations in media.
