Broken 2G Iphone

So I dropped my iphone and now just bottom of the screen doesnt work now. Nothing on the outside is broken, just part of the screen doesnt work.

Someone told me I need a new digitizer. Anyone here have a broken iphone they can sell me so I can use it for parts. Or anyone here can help me fix it?

Call apple, and tell then the bottom of the screen stoped working and get them to send you a new one.

kk if you dont have warranty this is what you do

now i dont know if its the same method (i have a 3g) but this is what id do

there should be two screws on the bottom remove them

now take an exacto or something to pry the screen loose

once out you'll see three tabs that are connected to the back half of your phone and to your screen just take them out and put them back in again (DONT USE ALOT OF FORCE)

if that doesnt work than i dunno but i think your best bet is to call apple

dont listen to anybody here...you will just end up with more problems

1. 2G iphone has no warranty
2. the build on a 2g iphone is different than a 3g so whatever macgyver method that is will surely destroy the phone more

you will want to get a new digitizer/screen combo from ebay or cnn.cn and follow the guide on ifixit.com

Installing iPhone 1st Generation Display Assembly

Apple iPhone OEM complete LCD w/ digitizer- Acer, Samsung, Accessories Store, BlackBerry, LG, Panasonic, Alcatel, Mobiado, S

you can find the digitizer/lcd cheaper on ebay, I've seen them as low as 50bucks

thanks
