being hired because you're a visible minorities
I am thinking about getting an extreme tan and dying my hair jet black for job interviews and applying as a visible minority.
They cannot do anything after?
white people are a visible minority in Scarborough anyway.
Anyone see a flaw in this plan?

when was the last time you were in brampton?
I drove by the part of my neighborhood where all the moms watch their kids get on the school bus and every single one of them was indian.
I've never lived somewhere where I felt like a minority until I moved here lol.

^ahahaha, no but i mean, employers just dont automatically hire you because you are a minority. i mean yea they would like to maintain certain ratio ...but its not that crazy, in IT thats dif, asian/brown are the smartest of course.

i think they're more into software development and engineering than actual IT work.

Xscorpio wow you serious? I was collage taking computer programming and yes there were bunch of brown/Indian guys there and not too many white people. Reason for why there are so many brown/Asian people in IT is because they study, a lot! While me and some of the other white people would not go to classes, don't ask any questions and just treat it as highschool. I know its not the mature thing to do yet somehow we kept getting marks that were just as good or better than theirs.
Now Asians, I can't say that they are dumb but they just study for hours till the sh*t sinks through. And some Indian guys weren't all that bright in my classes either. It took them forever to actually understand the basics of C.
I dropped out of the program not because it was too hard, but because I found it boring and not enough of a challange. I guess for some people repetative work is better than sitting there and trying to figure out something new.
So you cannot say that Indians/Asians are the smartest people in IT.
Also Bruce GL with that, I may just need to paint my face brown if I'm desperate for a job and apply at a gas station loll.

But No Frills and Food Basics is the worst.......that's why I stick to my Longo's, where you won't find any discount food.

Srr, couple of days back was about to drive to Scarborough and kick somebody in the teeth from the program I dropped out of, because the person said that I'm more dumb than him because I dropped out since I "couldn't handle it" and that he's soo much smarter. Plus he was brown and he made few comments about it being the reason why he's gonna succeed with his studies and me dropping out. Still pissed about it but figured assault charge is not worth it lol.

if you don't respect someone or their opinion, their comments should not matter.
Immigrants study harder because they have a better work ethic, they aren't spoiled with cars and cottages by the age of 18. Give them two generations of living in the amazing country of Canada and they'll be as lazy and bratty as the cakers.

lol. when i was in school there were 2 brown guys, 1 brown girl, few blacks, and rest were all white (guys, 2 girls). what a blast it was, we were close bunch after 2nd year...everyone helping others, with assignments, labs etc.
mind you we started off with 375 students in our course 1st year, after 2nd year only 25 went on to 3rd year and only 22 graduated.

i guess it was some what culture change for him or something, but took him couple of years to mix up with others. while others from very first day we were all going to pub nights to check out all the new chicks that were coming to the school every year
