I like Gand Bend. Not as tacky/busy as Wasaga. There is a public beach and a more private beach. Awesome camping at Pinery procincial park. 401 West--->402 North--->81.

Hey JDM_RS,

The Pinery and Grand Bend, about 45 minutes north-west of London. The Pinery is a Provincial Park on Lake Huron & the beach is miles long...it's a great place to swim without fear of toxic waste poisoning...

Every summer it's a guaranteed trip and imho, always worth the drive. Hope this suggestion helps, in fact, I'm getting the urge to adorn a bikini and take a cruise there this wknd...happy trails!!

There are many nice beachs on Lake Erie too. Nickle beach, Sherkston, Knights beach, Port Dover, Turkey Point.

Sauble beach is really good. Really clean beaches. It's by Owen Sound in the Bruce Peninsula.

I know its like borderline on your 2 hour limit, but if you want to see one of the most beautiful and unique beaches in ontario, heat east to Picton and visit the sandbanks provincial park!

sand banks is awesome, the even have camp sites with private beachs.... we had a private lot for 40 people, but first morning we were banned from all provincal parks and were escorted out by OPP.. LOL.. noise complaints, but honestly if you have a site for 40 people what noise would u expect...

if you make your way out to sand banks, enjoy it there, then on ur return trip stop off in coubroug (sp) they have a really nice beach as well...

I'm in niagara and go to crystal beach often. It's a nice beach, the only thing I hate is the large amounts of Americans. its more of a younger crowd. Sherkston is good because you have to pay, and that usually rules out any chance of younger crowds. Still Americans. :P

If you wanna get there, just get on the QEW and go allllllllllllllllllll the way into niagara to fort erie and take sodom rd. exit. When you get on that..head south...and just keep going. You'll hit the coast, and you'll see signs to go to crystal beach. Its right there. Can't miss it.
