can anybody tell me what pros and cons about this program???... I know its free...

I have used it before, and its a pretty good program considering its freeware.

Perhaps if you used Norton and McAfee you would be more impressed.

AVG is good and its what I use at home, but it is not in the same league as the two enterprise products from Symantec and Network Associates.
AVG unfortunately will produce more false positives and they take a little longer getting their .dats updated then the two pay products.

That said, it's free and what can be better than that

good enough for me.........i had a trogan/spyware problem and my norton couldn't get rid of it so i d/w avg......surprisingly it did what norton couldn't

lavasoft adaware or whatever its called
its free and works amazing

use that along with hijackthis

stops all those BS spyware and search bulll**** that come up
