******* Truck Driver!@
So I am driving home yesterday (QEW Hamilton Bound from Niagara) and there is a transport infront of me. Something then falls from underneathe of his trailer and explodes (like a ball of mud or something) and then rocks start flyer everywhere. I got hit because I was behind him and the damage was done.
Attached you will the pictures.
The worst part is that I just got the windshield replaced (less than a month ago) and it was due to the same thing.
Now my question is if I can call the trucking company and get them to pay for a new windshield. I have the license plater, trucking company, etc written down.

That sucks! But you can't be mad at the truck driver for what s caught around his tires -- It happens to all vehicles, theirs are just big enough that it can be harmful to other drivers ...

call the company and cops and see where you get...

don't trucks have to be inspected for things like this before they get on the road as a safety percaution? it's like in the winter when they're SUPPOSED to have their roofs cleaned off of snow and ice to prevent killing ppl...same concept, different season.

When they make their stops they have to check, but there is only so much they can do!
If there is stuff stuck on the tires, they get off what they can -
It's the same as complaining that a random car lost a chunk of snow of their tires and caused you to swerve -
Many of these drivers have to drive from their warehouses which many of them - such as teh ones in Brampton - have areas with construction they have to drive through!

loose loads like sand, etc, have to be covered, and they have to be CLEAN of mud, etc, by law.

^^^ Yes I know - but if they have left, drive through a construction zone etc. They have limited control until their next mandatory stop when they do their 'circle check' - so the in between time is kind of a troublesome area --
I know it is by law that they need to be free of debris, dirt, snow etc -
Also - it was something from underneath - not from a loose top load!
Anyways, I see I am fighting a loosing battle - Just putting in my input because I have many family members in the trucking industry ...
Not to say that all truck drivers are perfect - many of them cheat on log books, drive straight through, speed, use wrong lanes, don't do checks etc - But don't judge the majority by a minority!

nobody cares, and neither does the law...they have to clean their trucks off and its their problem if stuff flies off...same goes for stuff that flies off cars...

no its not the person behind the truck - I never said that.
When it comes down to it - it is the truck driver's fault - but what I am saying is that don't be so quick to call them '******* truck drivers' because some things are just out of their control - to an extent!
