Anyone Know where I can Get this Clothes Ironer Thing?

Without a woman around for the last 3 weeks I never noticed how much ironing they must do for me! My clothes are so wringled it almost looks fashionable. Anyway I need one of these things bad, I've been looking all over for one and I can't find it in any department store around my area. I am sure there must be a Walmart or something that sells it. I tried using a plain old iron but I suck horribly with it and it takes forever to get just 1 shirt done.

PLEASE HELP lol

Haha, you mama's boy! Learn to use the iron, it really isn't that hard. How do you use it anyways that is causing you such headaches?

it's called a clothes steamer, I have no clue where you might find one, I've only seen them at retail outlets, maybe try yellowpages for retail clothes supply suppliers (not sure if that made sense) Hope that helps you.

If it's dress shirts, you could always just send them to the dry cleaners--it would be worth the pittance you may have to spend on getting them laundered and pressed.

Indeed I am. Its not that its necessarily hard to use the iron, but its the whole hassle of getting the stupid board out and checking the label for the type of material and temp settings its a headache! Even that doesn't bother me that much, it just takes me forever to get a shirt done, how the heck do you iron the sleves? haha

Put it this way, no woman around = no ironing = I had to wash my own clothes = me leaving my clothes in the dryer= clothes being all wrinkly = me going to work wrinkly

Someone told me I can just set the drier on 10min more and the wrinkles will come out. Can any woman confirm this!? Sounds like an easy way out.

That's not a bad idea, but I have a whole batch of clothes like this. I suppose I could send in my dress shirts atleast, the pants I can iron pretty good. These things are all over E-bay but I don't know if I can wait that long. The search continues today at Lunch.

you can... but depends on what the shirt is made off...

crappy old navy dress shirts wrinkle up and ****
so i learned from that...and i started getting shirts from the bay .. anyways the point is that brands like pierre cardin/ dkny/claiborne for men... they are wrinkle resistant so yeah..put em in the dryer and they come out pretty crisp

Try this if you haven't, iron the shirts inside out. See if that helps you.

ya... if you work in an office .. you'd most likely know a thing or 2 about ironing...

most my friends are in construction/trade so they depend on their moms or girlfriends.....LOL

My shirts are all name brand so it shouldn't be a problem. I jsut have no idea what setting to put this at. Should it be at the highest heat on permanent press or Gentle, etc?

So new to this haha man you should have seen me trying to figure out the washer. It was like asking my gf to do an oil change on my car.

I do work in an office so my excuse today was "My GF is away and I am a poor poor child who has no idea how to iron clothes" Atleast my teeth are clean.

I only bring this up because someone once asked and I'll share:

Not to be gross, but if you put dress shirts in the dryer, the armpit yellowing stains become more set in (that is, if you don't wear an undershirt under the dress shirt); that's why hanging shirts to dry is a good idea if you want to keep them in better shape.
