anyone a avid fisherman?

I been fishing for some time now. Always looking for new places to try. Most of the good places are out of the city. Anyone know any good places near or in the city. The best place in the city I would have to say center island have caught bass, pike, carp and catfish there.

I just got back from orangeville, its called island lake and has tons of fish. Boat rental is $80 for a full day or you could bring your own (no gas motors). I caught about 4 pike, 15+ perch

haha 14inch pike.

What type of fishing you into?

I know alot of places but it all depends on the type of fishing you'd like to catch.

Let me know and i'll post it up tomorrow.

Bay of Quinte during fall/winter (just before ice) and you catch 13-16lb pickeral.

My fav. lake to fish is nippissing in callandar bay.

I could go on for along time.

Perch go to lake simcoe.

And yeah, do you have a boat or are you going to be fishing off the dock?

Currently have an 18ft. Legend with a 45 on the back. Tackle comin' outta my yin yang.

nice pictures there.
I usually rent a boat if there is boat rental in the area.
Any places within an hour drive of the gta?
I enjoy all kinds of fishing even panfish, as long as there is some action.

Summer time is usually camping/golfing time.

Simcoe has great perch fishing.

Right at the joint of cooch and coe.

About 500yards off shore in the middle there.

You see tons of boats there in the spring. We had 3 boats out there.

Niagara River has some big fish as well. Musky, salmon, rainbows, browns...

I've gotten into it alot more this year, but again, not too many places in the GTA and I don't have any friends who are as serious about it as I am. I might go up to Rice lake one day soon.

I was fishing on rice lake in may and it was ok. Caught some catfish, crappie and sunfish. We heard good bass and pike fishing but didn't catch a single one. Used spinners, jig's and crankbait to no avail. It's really weedy there I think the lake is dying like lake scugog nearby.
