This just makes me sad. Sounds like the father had some issues, and to do something so selfish as to take your childs life just to spite your ex-partner is outrageous Being a parent to 2 young children myself, I can understand the love and bond one has for ones children. It is unfathomly strong. I can also understand how stressful a marital break up can be, and how some custody arrangements can be unfairly biased. But this does not condone the heinous act of killing your own.

Can you imagine what was going through the little girls mind? One minute she's with Daddy, next she's scared out of her wits near a bridge, then next she comes to in an ambulance - asking "where's Daddy?" This child is going to need serious help in the future....

freaky

Is really sad.....i saw the guy on the bridge when I go back to waterloo last night at about 5:45-6pm...I saw him on the phone with the kid beside him...I was looking at him becasue I always caution people standing on the bridge will throw stuff out from there (I have a few friends that have broken windshield becasue of people throwing stuff out from the bridge) , so that's why I was looking at him at that moment. But then I also have this thing in my mind that what happen if he is going to jump for whatever reason, but of course that's just something come across my mind at that moment...then late last night when I saw the news, then I go holly **** I think I that's the man I saw on the bridge.....freaky man...I felt bad last night after I saw the news too. I wish I could have done something to help them. But good think is the girl is save for now. Hope for a speedy recovery and wish her luck.

young children often take impact a lot better since their bone structure is still developing and it's not quite 'solid' and brittle like that of older ppl. so thank God she's aiight. who knows, she might be okay more or less... she's pretty young, so... who knows. prolly will have trust issues though, esp with men.

as for the guy, at least he ended himself. should have taken that flight solo though. how inconsiderate of him though, to block traffic and cause ppl so many hours of delay. should have ended himself in a less intrusive way.

some guy drove his truck into the front of an all glass building that is the children's aid society. something about custody or something? I forget

You would think that if their bones were brittle they would die u know... You hold a baby's head wrong their neck breaks, but yet when you throw them out the window... The survive. Only if you jump out after them.
