2007 VW Rabbit (looking at)

hey guys...would like your opinion

I'm looking for something around 20G's...and I've looked all over the place and the 2007 VW Rabbit is just 20G's

Engine: 2.5L 5 Cylinder In-Line DOHC
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Tires: P195/65R15 H AS
Wheels: 6J x 15" Steel w/Full Wheel Cover
Front Bucket Seats
Cloth Seat Fabric
Monotone Paint Application
Radio: 2 Din AM/FM w/In-Dash Single CD/10 Speakers

this is what you get..i've also looked at the civic, but I hate the new look of the civic unless it's the fully loaded Si and that's way too mcuh for me....

what do you guys think? good choice? bad choice? what else do you recommand me at looking at around that price range?

Thanks

if ur gonna finance or lease it, u might aswell get it fully loaded...the extra 5-6grand ****** over the term wont be that much and you wont really wanna spend more on upgrades later...like c'mon, u know u want a sunroof and big wheels

you can get a Fit Sport for that price

the new rabbit is nice, somebody in the complex where i work has one

but a lot of people have bad things to say about VW's in general, i would personally wait and see what owners have to say about the car

I was looking at them too. They are are very nice car for the price. Even the base 2 door is a very nice package. There are really only minor differences between it a fully loaded 4 door.

The only thing I'd be worried about is VW's poor past reliability issues. Then again, thats what warranties are for. I'm not a huge fan of the looks, but bigger wheels and a nice drop makes any car look great.

Power is decent and it looks like it is decent on gas. Lots of nice options and features too.

A Rabbit was on the top of my last before the Si came along. Go for it.

VAG has had I-5 engines for years with success, so the engine design isnt a problem...the nice thing about the old 5cyl was u could take the intake manifold and cut off a runner and weld up the open part of the plenum and booyah, slap that bad boy on your 4cyl rabbit/golf/jetta paired up with the 5cyl throttle body and you have a serious intake for dirt cheap
