2003 SE-R Spec V......

My buddy picked up his SE-R yesterday, and I finally got a chance to see it today. Honestly, I think it is AMAZING. Beautiful exterior, VERY good stock sound system, and AMAZING interior. As for performance, he is taking it easy at the moment, letting the engine wear in a little bit. Holy crap I can't wait until I get to take that baby for a spin. AMAZING CAR. I'll have him come out with me to a West-end meet sometime if it's ok with everyone??

Spec V

thats a mint car!!! i personally like the yellow one...it stands out like a bump on a log and it shows the lines of the car...a buddy of mine got one too, but its black...it doesn't look as good as the other colors...

My bro had the 2002 SE-R Spec V in black. Was a sick car but it was costing him too much, so he sold it like 3 months ago. He got his for $22 g's. Those cars are a little weird until you break them in. But even when his was broken in, his gas mileage was ****. Wsa costing the same as his V6 Ford Probe GT. He's driving a 95 240SX LE now. Damn I miss the Sentra hehe.

'Nearly bought a Nissan myself, and I've heard alot of great things about the Spec V.'

Amazing stock rims.

Watch it in winter driving, though. LSD is really tricky on this car...

I have heard the same story from plaz...

I'm still waiting for him to show up at my door with one...

When he had one last it very torquey in the low end...

Nissan promo day I believe...

PM Plaz for a real "test drive"...

thast funny...rad and track doesn't seem to agree with u ....apperently the spec v lost in cmparisn to the civic si...not even up too the sir...they said it was a nice engine when compared to the si ...but other options..were claimed to be ****.......pardon my french....it had the best acceleration 1-100 at 7.3 seconds....and thats all it was good for...my buddy has a spec v , and it is nice...but road and track insults the suspension system and styling....

-With regards to coming out to a wednesday meet, I don't think that it will happen anytime soon - we both have night school.

Yea, considering the price of the car, I think that it is AMAZING bang for the buck. I mean, the new SiR (As much as I love it) still costs more than the Spec V (even with the Spec V sport package).

SAM - No, my buddy lives in Mississauga, and he also got a black one. Personally I think the black looks amazing on the car. I'm not usually a big fan of black cars, but on this car, it defenitely matches. Yellow would be WAY too much of a Popo magnet, since the car is a head-turner even in black.

Audiophilia - The stock rims are NICE! 17" and beautiful. The sunroof is also a welcome addition. Again, back to the interior, I would personally give it (5/5)
The overall aesthetics, steering wheel, shift ****, carpets and SEATS (WICKED SEATS) make it a winning combo.
And yea, about the LSD, my buddy knows, we're actually going shopping for some steelies and winter tires today. Hopefully that will minimize problems in the winter.

hehe ... Well, I almost bought one myself ... the only thing that stoped me was my high insurance ... so I ended up getting a civic ...

but I would say that these cars are very nice, handling is not as good as in a civc though ....

(my 2 cents)

Tests in SCC (Sport Compact Car) magazine also found the horsepower numbers from Nissan to be a little exagerated as well. SCC dynoed 5 different cars and only came up with about 140 hp at the wheels for each. Nissan actually lowered its inital hp rating from 180 to 175 after test results like this.
