and besides its a trend.
first we used to have boxy cars
then we had rounded off cars
then we had a mixx of both
now we got retro redesigned cars
soon we will have modded cars as factory cars and we will have to bring it to stock to modd it.

Don't get me wrong, I like the old Stangs too, I just don't think a new car that looks pretty much identical to the old one is something I would want. Like I said, if I wanted an old Stang I would buy an old Stang.
People said the same thing about the recent gen T-bird (how they really liked to retro-styling), but now it is being discontinued by Ford after this model year due to poor sales, although part of the reason is its absurdly high cost.

i'll take a new car that looks old anyday... who wants to put up with problems of a car 30+ years old, and who wants to look for parts for this car? Not me.. I'll take a new one, thank you very much! Besides that, ergonomics have improved, chassis stiffness, safety features, reduced NVH levels, better paint quality, lower emissions, better mileage and driveability, etc...
