Why do I not trust Mark Mitsubishi of Scottsdale, AZ?

This is why. Their internet Sales Manager Josh Jones set up an auction to sell a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII with several dealer installed aftermarket modifications. The highest bidder, MarkD, who rightfully won the auction at $26,200.00, was denied the car. He was told the car had been sold to a broker at a higher price. Had Mark Mitsu cancelled the auction in time and notified MarkD, this may not have been an issue. But they didn't. They let the auction end, which made MarkD the rightful winner. The auction had no reserve price, nothing. Now, fast forward to Halloween 2003. MarkD discovers that the vehicle is still for sale from Mark Mitsubishi for almost $40k. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened. The dealer was undercut, so rather than lose money, they lie to the high bidder about the car, and hope he doesn't have a brain. Unfortunately, he did, and posted about it on Nasioc.com (North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club). Well.... this ****** like wildfire all over the internet automotive community. And now Mark Mitsubishi is swimming deep in a sea of bad public relations.

The next play is theirs. Lets see how smart they are.

Seriously that thread has like 500k views on it already lol They offered him another lancer for 700 bucks more than his auction. But its stock. (The one he won had a dvd player and leather wrapped Recaros.)

It's true.

MARK MITSUBISHI offered me the same ebay EVO at the final auction price.

Many of you knew of MARK MITSUBISHI's offer before I did since I was at work.

I was informed that the car was not titled and the full factory warranty would be in effect.

The finance manager did not know the exact mileage, but he informed me that the car remained at MARK MITSUBISHI after the auction.

The dealer is researching tax issues for a out of state sale.

Yep, over 120 pages now. You should see the list of websites that posted that story..... it's HUGE.

Now we're waiting for him to say he got it!!

supposedly they were going to give it to him. If they do, I really hope that he gives 15-20Gs to a charity.

Although I don't see him doing it!
