I'm not sure if a 2000 Si comes with a stock immobiliser. I assumed yes but it's still gone. No alarm. I personally don't think alarms are worth their salt. When one goes off I'm just happy they stop .. I don't care if it's by the owner or a thief. Huh ... maybe I'll pay more attention now..... nahhh

Immobilizer only came on board on 2001 Honda vehicles (at least for Civics).

If you are serious about car alarm, you need to invest quite an amount of money on it. Regular chirping just won't cut it. It will get cut rather fast, that's for sure.

Motion sensor, tilt sensor, back up siren, the whole 9 yard. Of course, for a professional thief, they have all the tools they need to jack any type of cars. A flat bad truck will come handy but I don't think a Civic requires that much of an attention.

Better luck on your wife's next car.

I'll keep an eye out for ya in Markham.
You do need an alarm for any Honda's nowadays.
This is a proven fact.

Hope the cops find your car soon.
