why tcc doesen't work in our school???
as nautica_t said in a previous post of his, tcc doesen't work in our school. it's starting to **** me off too, i tried so many computers in the school and it doesen't work. Every single website works except tcc's. anyone know how we can fix this.

thanx guys i will try again tomorrow, i will try the i.p address but what difference would that make, the i.p is the same as torontocivics.com it's just more understandable instead of the i.p address.
actually i saw someone today on icq in our school chatting away so it works. everything works except tcc.

you know what though, i even tried pinging the website at home and i was not able too. I get request has been timed out.
I've tried www.torontocivics.com
and i even tried 216.194.75.76
both of them timed out..
can' be just me, they ping time out, but yet i'm still on this board.
very odd..

oh and in regards the icq thing. you are right, you can't get icq but did you nottice the warning you get. it has been blocked by admin. but if you go to tcc page. it doesn't have the block page url on it. it simply can't find the server/web page in general.
so that i know for a fact taht it is not blocked adn i wouldn't see any harm or reason they should block it. don't mean to spam but other car club sites do work. just not tcc so i really don't think this is an admin restricting access problem.

Here is the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon...
TCC hosts through Terabyte....terabyte goes through big pipe.... big pipe is owned by shaw. If I am not mistaken, Shaw recently had Cisco consultants in to fix up their network after the @home crap. Prolly one of the first things was to change the root passwords on their servers to something other than 'athome' (I'm not kidding).
Anyways they have implemented some anti-denial of service attack measures...one of which is packet filtering.
How does this relate back to the TCC? They all drive civics
so after a long geek fest....yes no replies to pings

I suggest linking to a public proxy with several port addresses...
No one tried to see if 216.194.75.76 resolves in a browser window...
It sound's like a server guy problem(90EFHB)...
Us little people can't fix it...

Have you tried entering in a proxy server address and port into your browser?
In IE go to <Tools> <Internet Options> <Connections> <Lan Settings> and tick use proxy server. Enter the address and port you wish to use.
Try to find a service that continues to use port 80. Then you might be able to resolve the site.
To find proxy server lists, try a search through yahoo.

yes today i tried typing the i.p address and it linked to the tcc's home page where it shows the civic beside the mirror window, but when i clicked on the enter link it said page not found
