Why does the EP3 only have 160hp?

Simple reason why.. cause you are missing the DOHC V-TEC sticker! Everybody knows that gives your car a 45hp boost!!! Just like how I saw a Mercury Cougar with a GT-R badge before... must have been a fast car! =P jkjk

cuz more power = more money so if your buying an ep3 they wouldnt put more power into it because that would make the rsx useless.
changing the head on a ep3 to a a2 head is actually smarter to do. whoever says other wise is retarded. you can pick up a2 complete heads for around 1500. which is waaaaaay less then a complete a2 and lets not forget that if the ep3 you are talking is your own car you most likely took care of it and know that the bottom end is perfect. plus you save tons of money on complete motor swap etc...
a k24 into an ep3 with a k20a2 head = over 4000 dollars.
a k20a2 head onto a ep3 stock motor = 2000 tops with mods.

b16a2, b16b are different
b18c1, b18c5, are different.

if u install k20a2 head on ep3 u gain a lot of horsepower but it makes less torque on lower rpm so u also need rsx-s tranny to keep in powerband
there is one guy on that forum he says that its better to do whole k20a2 swap because with the price of head+tranny it comes close to price of whole swap and k20a3 bottom end is weak....factory readline is 6800
also ep33 k20a3 makes more power and torque than rsx-s k20a2 and s2k f20 upto 6000rpm until vtec kicks in lol
