car was much cheaper to buy than the bike (bike = 12G's)
however, the mods catch up and becomes a money pit.

i personally would never ask my parents to buy me a car or a bike. even as a gift, it wouldn't feel rite. i'd rather my parents spend the money on themselves and travel.

however, i don't see anything wrong with getting a car as a gift from parents though cuz i have some friends who had their civics given to them. so long as the parents have the money for it without screwing over their retirement...lol!

I paid for my first car(crx) and my current car(civic) there both in my name and im paying for my own insurance..and im going to school!! i don't mind paying for my own car however i do mind paying 400$ monthly for insurance(with a clean record)..i swear insurance companies are crooks

First car was a 97 Corolla that parents bought for me/my sister, they paid for that, then my civic I payed about 30% of it. Parents pay my insurance.
