wheel studs

wheel studs

anyone ever change there wheel studs? is it hard to change them, i need to change them cuz i got rims, and the studs are too short for the nut to catch the stud.. so i need to buy new ones and change them.. is it a good idea to go to a machanic, or is it easy enough to do it myselF? any advice would help> and does anyone know how much it would cost if i got it done?

Unless you have a press in your garage, I don't think you can do it at home. Go take it to a shop. How much? Well if you know a shop, it shouldn't cost too much. If you can remove your hubs on your own, that would greatly reduce the cost, the only thing is, you'll need a 32 mm socket to remove your wheel hub.
