What mods?

What was everyone's first mod, and what's going to be your next? When?

Mine was one of the first Akimoto filter's in Canada.
Thank's to some thief's, my next is a new ignition system with wires and fuel pressure regulator.

Oh yeah I need a new fuel pump.

1st mod: clear corners

Next mod: not sure, but probably something like a Z10 block girdle or S-AFC or something along those lines. It definetly won't be a frickin body kit.

Hey OverKill_Si, the Alpine alarm suck's big time! Not trying to offend you or anyone, speaking from experience as I was an alarm installer. For approx. the same price you could get the Clifford which is an excellent alarm.

...is it worth goin for a boomerang alarm?..its not gps...its based on the cellular network..so they can only track it as long as its in range...and if it leaves range..they try to find it based on its last location...plus they charge u 250 to find ur car after its been stolen ..and that might or might not be paid by ur insurance... just some things u might wanna consider

Rice Burner: Well, to be honest with you.. I found that the Cliffords suck were over priced, and grossly Inadequate for what you got in the packege.

Plus I had never found anyone that could get into my old Jeep (with the soft top on) without setting off the motion detectors

ThEiDzKiD: Ok, go to the boomerang website and do some research on it, you can also find different articles around the web... Here is one such article with excerps.

Boomerang Website - News Article

"The recovery rate for vehicles equipped with the Boomerang system is 95%."

"The enhanced Boomerang 2 doesn''t even need you to report the theft - it automatically connects with the tracking station if the car is moved without being started, or if the battery is disconnected."

"Recently, the Boomerang system located an SUV in Los Angeles that was stolen a few days earlier in Toronto."

"This means that if the vehicle is anywhere in Canada, the US or Mexico, it can be found."

"This is unlike the LoJack system used by many commercial trucking firms. That uses a satellite-based Global Positioning System (GPS), and is not yet available in Canada."

"Cost of the system is $299.00 installed, and the monitoring fees are about $9.00 per month. Many insurers will provide a rebate or reduction in your vehicle insurance premium to offset this."

And now for the Coupe de Grace... You can install a mini camera in your rear view mirror which will broadcast and record the thieves look of surprise when the car is pulled over

Any more questions folks?

Regards,
OK
