Sunoco 94 always :)
Prelude requires premium only |
Sunoco 94 in the summer car....
cheapest available for the beater lol |
Premium in the Civic, usually Shell as it's conveinient as it's near my house.
Regular to midgrade (brand doesn't matter) in the wagon depending on how I feel on that particular day. |
Cheap shiat in both vehicles. Mostly Petro Canada or Shell. If the price is cheaper at Sunoco or Esso, I have been known to go there too.
|
Methane. It's a little stinky, but man does it burn like Mofo!
|
Diesel.
|
87 octane from every gas station...i could care less for my dx motor.
|
Sunoco 87

|
Shell 87
I don't touch Sunoco. I read a few threads on here about people having problems with Sunoco gas. |
Anything thing but Esso.
Normally Sunoco. |
I use nothing but 91 (I think?) Pioneer.
|
why do you guys waste money on gas with stock engines, with swaps its diff, I NEED, lets rephrase, NEED 91 for my car to run properly, but a stock civic does not lol
|
sunoco 87.. just the regular gas.. or petro sometimes.. because they are close to me.
|

My next hatch will get 87 until things require premium |
whoever has the cheap regular gas and happens to be on my way gets my money
people, higher number doesnt equal "better" gas, all it means is that is has additives that make it less prone to preignition... so unless you are running high compression, you are wasting your money high octane fuel wont even burn completly and cleanly in an engine that is not designed for it as the conditions in the cylinder might not be optimum for its proper burning point. |
ok here's some info for the newbs/douches
when you compress air it get's hotter high compression motors compress the air more (obvious) gasoline engines run a mix of air and FUEL so you bring the air charge in and the pisotn is coming up compressing the air the air is getting hotter and hotter and hotter as it compresses more and more then boom is pre ignites from the heat of the compressed air instead of the arch of the spark plug high octane fuel is more "stable" and wont' ignite as "easy'" so it won't preignite etc from the compressing of the air in the cylinder that is why you run high octane fuel. you want to run the lowest octane you can get away with basically |
oh 94.... thats a rare find down here... we only get up to 92 here...
i use chevron or 76 regular 87 (aka george bush stolen gas) |
Typically anywhere that has it cheap but I prefer petro cause I get the 0.02 cents off per litre making it even cheaper. Regular gas for my stocky motor.
|
Last time I check my stock SiR takes 91+
Usually PetroCanada for the points. |
89 or 91 in my stock CX....why? Cause i drive like 7km's to work and when i am on the highway i find i get a touch better mileage. Im also getting a new cat and premium burn's the **** out of your cat. And now its a touch louder. I grab petro or sunoco.
|
i used to use sunoco 94 all the time for my b16. over time, it started to run like ****. i found out they add alcohol to increase the octane rating or something. i switched down to 91 like my manual recommends and i get much better performance surprisingly.
|
89 @ esso....
by the way, are esso points better or the petro points? my sister uses sunoccco cause she uses her CAA card... |

Ethanol.
I used to run 89 octane, dunno why really, must've been habit, my dad filled my car up with 87 runs fine, looks like I'll stick with that now and save my 5-7 cents per liter. |
nothing but the best!!! SUNOCO 94!!! u have to baby ur car man!
