Westside meets and their requisite conundrums/Saturday meet
After last night's fun and games (kicked out of KK and EM), looks like the 'man' is on to us. Or, there could be another problem.
It would not the first time a TCC gang has been asked to leave, and if we rely on the kindness of rent-a-cop, it most surely will not be the last.
We have been meeting on the westside for over a year now, and never a problem. Via my sources, it looks like too many cars at EM for the small parking lot. Compund that with RC in the EM lot (!!!) and you have a problem. The KK situation is a little more complicated. A very large lot with many groups enjoying their meets. I have met there with maxbimmer, E46 Toronto, ClubSi, VWVortex, and TCC, of course, and never had a problem. Strange that this happened to TCC.
So, what to do? Well, let me say straight away that I will be meeting ad hoc at EM for coffee, a low fat muffin and a chill. Any and everybody is welcome to join. If there is a large turnout, I'm moving my car to Sears, where I can enjoy the ambiance of EM, my friends, other clubs' members and an RC race once in a while.
I hope to see you there.
I have another couple of new, mid-Miss locations that have some ambiance rather than the dungeon of SM. If I get kicked out, I'll move to another location.
The problem just may disappear if the people are quiet, clean, and do not congregate in huge numbers. That has been the case with *all* of our meets under the auspices of the TCC board whether at EM, SM, or wherever. I'm sure it'll continue.
With that in mind, I will be at EM tonite for a coffee and a chat at 8. Hope to see some of my TCC friends there.
