Weird stuff happening after header was installed...

Well I got my header installed at defcon racing... cost me $100 to get that bastard on..

anyways I don't know why but when I cold start my car in the morning now I get a big bang under my car like metal hitting metal..
then my short shifter feels totally messed.. its loose when cold and when it heats up it gets stiff and sticky..

is the header just too close to the shifter? if so how can I can fix this easily?
Thanks!

Lol apoc wth are you doing here? Can't find a hyundai forum? Lol jking its Martin btw. Haha
Jeremy, does it sound like exhaust is leaking at any point? Possible that they installed it on an angle for some reason, and got fumes are facing up into the shifter/bushings.
If you don't feel like getting dirty, just bring it back to defcon.

you seriously paid $100 to have a header installed?

if you don't know how to install a header.. then your probably not describing the issues correctly either.. take it back to where you had that work done.

How long did it take them to install the header?

the header doesn't go as far back as where your shifter is.

Its possible that its rubbing against your shifter linkage (where it attaches to your tranny) but then i'd be questioning the quality of the header you bought if that was the case b/c any header i've ever seen/used/installed was totally clear of the shifter linkages.

yah, it would be really strange if the header is anywhere near your tranny.

might be an unrelated issue
go get them to check it out...
