WARNING...Don't shop at......
Don't ever shop at Tire World in Brampton (melanie drive).
This is what happened to me. Two months ago, I went in there to order a set of 17' konig verdicts. The salesman then phoned his buyer, and told me that they would take two months to get to canada because they were coming from overseas, and that the price would $1708 tax in. So I put down my $500 deposit. After waiting two months and week, they finally arrived. But there was a problem, the salesman told me that they were sent with the wrong center caps. So I drive down there and when I saw the rims I said what the ****. They had sent me a knock off pair that had the same pattern, but weren't konig verdicts. They sent me ALT wheels. The salesman said, "They're the same, made by the same company."
I was pissed so I after calling numerous times I finally talked to the owner, and told him that I was getting screwed. I later found and out and realized, that the salesman from day one knew that he couldn't get konig wheels, but knew that he could knock offs with no problem. They made me wait two months just to make it seem like they were being shipped from overseas.
And the center caps, they were going to order konig center caps and slap them on ALT wheels, and call them konig verdicts, and then charge me some price that they must have just made up.
After a lot of hasseling with the owner, who insisted that no refunds is they're policy, I finally got my full deposit back. They totally screwed me.
Please don't purchase anything from them, they aren't good enough for anybody's money.

Just let him know that you're with the Toronto Civics Club and that, he's pretty much guaranteed that 1100 registered members won't be shopping at his store... EVER

I've heard of small shops pulling stunts like this... tire world had a good rep until now I guess.
I know someone who got ONE authentic 5zigen wheel, which they showed him in the showroom.. the other THREE were knockoffs. I cant remember the name of the shop.. somewhere in markham tho.
he didnt even find out until after he took them off 5 months later!

I am glad to see that you got your deposit back. If not it would have been lawyer time. I guess now you can do some research I find something else maybe in a 16inch . LOL
