How often do you get pulled over that the cops would be hassling you about it? Contact Honda, or the ministry of transportation, and see what they say.

if the cops are so concerned about your stolen vehicle... tell them to look under the car when questioning you... vin is located in quite a few places

Are those VIN plate locations mandatory? I think there is a document that you can get from the MTO that you stick on the dash where the plate would be located.

It could have a swap dash. I swaped mine, and haven't bothered putting correct vin yet, but if I was to sell my old dash, I would sell with no vin. Contact mto.

How often do you get stopped? I've never been pulled over and had a cop look for the VIN plate.

I think they give you a hard time because its the only place the VIN is visible without the key. For all other locations you need the key of the car.

ill see if i can find some info.

in the mean time, just write it on paper and tape it to your dash.. problem solved

I was wondering the same thing, 8 years of driving a modified car and being pulled over 20+ times..and I have never been asked about my vin's..
