So technically at 300,000km, my car is only at 30% of its life span? lol

That is quite impressive, honda should have bought that car back from the guy. The guy must have had to do his timing belt at least 5 times then.

Actually, according to his service records, he's done the timing belt, seals and water pump almost every 100,000 kms...which would mean it's done it at least 10 times and probably soon to be 11 times in about 20,000 kms. That's sick!

Valve lower and upper seals were done once. The seals I was referring to were the cam and crank seals.

Wow! this was all done at the dealership? This dude was willing to spend money on his old civic then. Timing belt/waterpump at dealership must be a $500+ job. Multiply that by 10!

Guess it comes with the territory if u want to run ur car to a million km.

Another thing, I think a lot of the hondas and some of the toyotas can run forever...but its just the body that gets rusted and rotten in the harsh Canadian environment; so ppl give up on them.

My buddy hit over 500,000 on his 90 hb, and I thought that was crazy. But wow that is impressive!
