i stay away from touchless, they often reuse water and use harsh chemicals that strip any coats of wax you have put on. go to a coin-op

Coin op, or in house wash. Touchless is useless.

your question was...

is it possible to clean a car properly without touching it ?

And the answer is yes.

If you had said...

is it possible to clean a car properly without touching it, and stipping off your wax and protective coating?
Then the answer would probably be no, and you would be right.....but you didnt say it that way.

DO NOT USE IT...touchless wahses do alot of harm to yoru paint...uses a vary harsh chemical to strip the dirt. I professionally detailed cars and it was the same chemical that the shop used to strip brake dust from alloy wheels...if you had a cut or left it on your hands if woudl eat away at it...you had to always wash it off yoru skin...do not use them....

stay away from touchless car washes. They break parts on your car and scratch your paint.

I tried it, Its okay nothing amazing to be honest it was a complete waste of money. I thought that it does seem to use recycled water, and the dryers suck

i know the major gas stations advertise if it is fresh water or not... if it doesn't say fresh water than it's probably reused

If it's not a coin op or my own stuff at home I stay away. It can scratch up your paint bad. I got some nasty ones on my old hatch's hood.

Coin op brushes can be dirty but you've got a pressure washer right there so spray the brushes down a bit.

Recycled Water?!?!@?

How the hell do you get away with that? won't the water start picking up dirt ?

When do they change the water? when the machine starts acting like a sand blaster?

no the answer is still no because i can gaurentee that when you come out of the no touch you will still have tons of dirt on your car. so no it is impossible to clean a car properly with a no touch car wash .

Well some touchless washes are better than others at getting the dirt off the car without touching it. On my previous car which was black I was really disappointed with the Sunoco touchless wash, since you could still see a thin layer of dirt (salt) on the car after it had gone through the wash. On the other hand, I tried a newer Esso touchless and found it did alot better job. It is true that no car wash (touchless or not) will get your car 100% clean, but some are better than others. Personally I stick with the touchless carwashes or coin-op (but not using their brushes) in winter time. In warmer weather I wash it myself on the driveway.
