Either way, if this is not going to cost you any money, then do it, but if you are doing it because you are bored of the car, imo, not a good reason to get rid of it. The car is not even a year old yet, and by trading it in, the dealer is always going to come out on the plus side, unless you go for something a bit older than your car. I agree with Bruno, keep it.
As for his insurance, I would be interested to see how the 06 is rated as compared to the older one's, because that is quite a drop in rate. My renewal comes up in March, would be nice to see mine come down that much.

even if it doesn't cost you money up front, it'll cost you money next time you wanna get something else... think about it, you wanna trade your 06 for a 00??? only way you may come out even is if you get a sick deal on an 04 accord, but even then you're getting a bigger car with a four cyl.
there is this thing that henry ford said when asked what's your favourite car (everyone expected him to say 'Ford!') he said... "my favourite car is a NEW car"

I looked at a few of the cars today. They SIR was nice. Low k's and around 12g's, but I don't really want a 7 year old car. The Accords and the CRVs were also nice, but I'm not paying 20g's for a car that has 100,000k's on it. The SiR hatch had been sold and the older hatches are too basic for me.
I guess most of you were right. Its hard to get rid of a new car for an older more expensive one. I'll wait it out another year. By then the new accords will be out and the CRVs will have come down in price a bit.
