should i buy a civic?
hey guys I'm 16 and currently looking for a civic. i really want one and would love to mod it out but only being 16 dont have the cash. so i was thinking of just buying one and leaving stock si in it cause it gets great gas mileage. however i hear all these horror stories about guys getting pulled over and geting harrassed by the police. i really dont want or cant afford any tickets lol. what you guys think?
Also which company do you think can get me the best rate on insurance? Thanks

even if you do not mod a car, cars still cost $ to maintain.
unless you have no other option.... save your $

civic good choice... leave it stock...
get a 92-95 hb si... keep it clean, they look good stock alone...
or get a 99-00 hb (dx/cx) keep it clean, they look good stock alone...

Ive been told by 3 companies that Civic Si's are the most expensive non sports/luxury car to insure. Depends on company/area you live in I guess.

i got harrassed a lot by traffic cops when i was younger... and not for driving like an idiot.
the older i got, the smaller the car i got.... so maybe go for a mustang so that when you are 25, you will have something decent like a 350.
i want from a thunderbird coupe, to a mazda 626, to a 240sx, and now i drive a compact economy civic.
enjoy your carefree youth.

hybrid cars are a waste of money and self esteem.
the massive lead acid battery in them is bad for the environment, and the costs of replacing is around the cost of the fuel savings you will allgedly enjoy if you keep the car for a while.
buy something you can afford while all your income is disposable!!

I don't think it matters what you drive, when your young you always get harassed. However if your ever speeding and get caught watch out! Even if a kid happened to be pushing off on a scooter beside you they'll punish you for street racing
