Selling 1991 Honda Civic

Hi,

I'm trying to get as good a price as I can for my wife's 1991 Honda Civic 4 door, 5 spd. It has about 237k kms on it, there's some rust (no holes), but now it needs the head gasket replaced and head machined. We've recently changed the timing belt and repaired the air conditioner. Along with the car we also have 4 mag rims for summer use.

Any ideas???

Thanks

300-600 tops blown headgasket.

Job costs 400$+

plus it has over 200k

is it manual?
Autos dont sell.

I had a hard time selling my fresh paint, mint body zc (auto) for 1200 let alone a rusty one with a bad engine.

you'll be lucky to get 300 tops if even that for your car.

1. 4dr 4th gens are not a popular among the civic buyers/crowd etc cause there ugly
2. the headgasket is blown which doing the work is worth more then the car alone
3.rusty

post some pictures of your car.
Alot of people here are posting prices of what it could cost.
but to each his own and also lets not forget the saying one mans garbage is another mans treasure.

that being said if the body only has slight rust it would be a perfect shell assuming everything else is good except motor. and who knows maybe someone is dying out there to find a really good body but doesnt care for anything else and is willing to pay you good coin for it.

Post up pictures thats the best way to sell anything.

You might want to sell the rims separately from the car depending on how much you are looking to get for them.
And if you use the value finder feature on autotrader.ca it can give you an indication of what you could look at as an asking price.
