ditto on good insurance, just keep the car stock if you don't want any attention...... I demodded my Civic to 90% stock and feel so much better parking it places now. I have compustar alarm and insurance cover. Steal my ride oh well, recover some insurance $$ and I can finally get something I have been saving for lol

I park my car top down everywhere (in the summer of course) because I got insurance and a decent amount of security features installed. If it gets stolen, I'll get a new one. It's as simple as that. You can only do so much. If someone wants it, they will take it which means new car time for you!

Car is a convertible. They are insuring a convertible. Unless my insurance contract states I must always park with the top on (which is obviously doesn't) they have to cover the loss. Another issue is I have a model that is hardtop only so no option of "putting the top on" if I do not arrive with the hardtop on.

On a side note, the base model s2k comes with a cloth soft top...a small knife will cut through that in a second so it doesn't offer any protection anyways...might even shield the thieves from being noticed once they get into the car as they would be less visable.

You talking from experience?

Some guy's won't even touch a car if it's mangiled up exterior or has something like shaved keyholes/door handles because the real guy's will just use a key in and out.

If your scared of putting anything into the car then don't do it. I have had **** stolen from my car before it sucks, but that life some times. Just like other people have said, if they really want it, they will get it, no matter how good of a alarm system you have.
