Sorry to hear about your friends. Hopefully their injuries are not severe.

Pitbull can be very dangerous animals.

I love DOGS , but some people just want to look bad and tough when they have these dogs like Pitbulls etc.. around them

But they have no idea of how to discipline them and teach them respect -

I am sure this incident is gonna make people think twice about gettting pitbulls .

I presonally own a Doberman and she is a great Dog !!

Very Sad story i hope these people recover to a 100% - Best of Luck

The dogs got what they deserved in my opinion

By the sounds of it, it sounds like both people were seriously injured but let's hope that they can still recover 100% with no permanent injuries.

it all depends on training....

seriously I have a Rodeshian (spellijng I know) Ridgeback. This breed of dog was bread for 1 purpose. the hunting of lions. it's one of 2 dog breeds developed for that purpose. well if trained right these dogs can be very calm and never act out.

when I first got my dog she was a menance and couldn't be placed around othr dogs because of her love of terrorizing them .... well training sorted that issue out. now she doesn't jump up on anyone. is very relaxed. and I don't have to worry about her around other dogs... it's all in the complete training.

there will be times where she'll act out but she's been trained to freeze on command. and this works wonders since it's just a voice command no hand actions.

a pitbull bit my buddys kittens leg off last night... verry sad, I loved that kitten so freindly and playfull ..he had to put it down... makes me want to rage on that dogs head till it dies too...

I hate that bread of dog, they are ugly and agesssive, they should be on farms not in citys.. I hate the dumb owners just as much that dont take the time to train them properly... so irresponsable.. you own a car, you have a drivers license, you own a gun, you need a permit, and training to use it... why are agressive dogs so different??

These types of dogs are bread for one reason, and one reason only; and anyone that thinks they can train them and change thier natural breading, is fooling themselves severly.

Hey gatherer, what happens if you are not around to tell the dog to stop? Do you really think it will stop by itself? Sure it will stop, once the other poor animal or person is either unconceince, or dead.

Do you want to take a chance with your family? I wouldn't.

They are breed to be aggesive, plain and simple. You can't remove that from a dog. Breeders try to breed the two most aggresive ones together. That's why they turn out the way they do. If an offspring of the aggresive pair is more tame than the others, they will either do 1 of 3 things with them.

1. never use the animal for breeding. It would just make the next batch less aggresive.

2. Use the dog as a trainer for more aggresive dogs. (it will boost the ego of the aggresive ones even further, when they know they can tear into a less aggresive dog without much retaliation).

3. kill them.

That's why some dog breads are more calm than others. They are BREED that way.

You can't change the way a dog is naturally with JUST training.

Some say you can, but I beg to differ, and these stories just goes to prove my point even further.

Yes I feel sorry for what happened to those 2 people, but I think they should of known better.

BTW, a punch in the noise to a dog doesn't always work.

hey ill tell you what happened! ive talked to the brother!

when his brother showed up from work, he told the Cops, let me get the Dogs, i dont care if they shred me up, ill bring tem out one by one! and we'll do it the legal way and get them euthanized!

when he called out the names of the Dogs, they calmed down, the only thing that got them hyper is the people around the house...... as he stepped foot in the door, a Police Officer told him NO..... cant let you in man..... so the police officers got his concent to shoot the Dogs... even they didnt want too... the SPCA was too scared to go in...
