someones been doing their hmwk. THATS RIIIGGHHHTT... premium gas for my 06 Si only and thats all i will ever feed her. and b/c u have done your hmwk you and jeff can test drive my 06 Si i'm bringing it to the meet but i'm not going to be able to make it this week maybe the next

octane is to prevent detonation ONLY. if you can run 87 with no detonation why would you waste your money on 94 people? thats just idiotic, it has absolutly NO benefit.

run whatever gas is left in your car till your on the empty line then put in $10 of 87 start the car take it out for a hard full throttle pull in 3rd to about 7500rpm. if the cel doesnt come on run 87 if it does fill the rest of the tank with maybe 91 and next fill up do the same with 89.

Its my knock sensor that will pop the CEL with lower grade gas, but am I correct in saying that not all cars are equipped with this sensor??

91 octane is still risky IMO. Go 94 to be safe(on a boosted motor if course).

i didnt say that. i said dont use a high octane fuel if you dont need it. i know of a bunch of 13.5:1 civics in texas that use 92
people think oh boost gotta run 94 but that might not hold true if it doesnt knock with 91 why use 94?
