Recommendation Needed: Best Used Sub $8000 Car

Just sold my Van and i will need a car with 3 things, thats it.

1. Fun to Drive
2. Good Gas Milage
3. Reliable

I saw a SiR that i really like with reasonable milage on it, but it was soldddddddd. Are there any substitue? :banghead:

All around disc brakes are very important to me because i go track often...

Tego 15-Aug-2005 08:13 PM

I was going to say, buy my '96 hatch but it doesn't have all discs on all four corners.

It's not that I don't like it, I love the car no doubt about it....I'm still deciding whether or not I should keep the car.

imported_Team Rukus 15-Aug-2005 09:33 PM

how much would you sell it for?

Younes Si 15-Aug-2005 10:17 PM

i'm not saying anything, but are you not suppose to think about these kinds of things before buying cars? 6G's you bought it for is not easy to spend :shrugs:

nice list... but this job is not for outsider like me...
i just want a nice simply car with mid 100Ks....

beside that, i don't want to messdup my insurance...

But btw, will insurance covers a car with salvage title before? Just curious... since i had enough of insurance scam :tsk:

imported_Team Rukus 15-Aug-2005 11:01 PM

yes they will.
and matter of fact if you can get it appraised for a lower value the salvage value your insurance will get adjusted accordingly.

your not going to be able to find a civic stock that performs well without mods unless you pick up an SIR like i said especially with 4 wheel disc.

so imo i would do what i suggested that way you have a joy of a modded car with the price of less than what the car would be if you were to buy it stock.
almost half the price.

tego bought the 96 for 6g's?
wow that is a tonne and a half for a car like that.

imported_SaYjAiBaO 15-Aug-2005 11:08 PM

buy a integra or something. my buddy just picked a 95 rs one up today with 150xxx clicks for 4800. with the left over money you can drop it like its hot and get a big brake kit.

imported_GoldBadge 16-Aug-2005 08:25 AM

BUY THAT OLD MR2!

HamiltonsIsuzu 16-Aug-2005 08:41 AM

buy a ef 90-91,

Sawp in a type r and 5 lug

Boom

Go nuts

derAMG 16-Aug-2005 11:45 AM

hehe guys, i'm too old for modification... :smoker:

Those MR2 are nice, but both of them that is listed on trader are crashed before, the bumper has slicly different color.

The Integra looks like a good candidate if i can't find another SiR...

imported_GoldBadge 16-Aug-2005 12:23 PM
