They dont write cars off anymore. Not frequent. WHen my car was totalled, they told me it was worth 7,000g(the dealer said) and it took 6g to repair. WHy not just write it off. Onless the dealer is trying to play me and low ball me. So now im thinking the car has to be worth a decent amount more if they didnt write it off.

I was talking to someone yesterday , and they suggested I take it to another body shop. and get a strutural test done, cuz it seems that most likely the frame was not pulled back to specs. Then I have somthing I can show the insurance company and say hey wtf ... these ***** didnt fix my car properly. And then proceede from there. I was also told that if my frame was not pulled back to specs my car would most likely be pulled off the road.

slvrteg99 - Why would you even claim $250 with your insurance company?

Sp3cial_K Do you have a rental car option on your insurance package? Unless you have anothe set of wheels or you can use the TTC.

Right now the insurance company is not paying for the damange, so therefor they are not coveirng any rental car. Thats why I have to get the proof that the frame is still bent to show them so they can cover all the costs. As far as the insurance compnay is concerend the car was fixed. So I had to pay for the rental car I used when they fixed the suspension. The TTC is fine for weekdays ish... But its a pain.. I hate the TTc.. the day I bought my car I told my self I would never have to take the TTC Again .. boy .. was I wrong........

I measured the rim from the wheel well to the on the front right from front left side. and the front right side was almost a full inch difference from the left side. So the frame is definaly bent. Ah well ill get my proof tomorrow.

i didn't
because of the first accident, the damage done to the ford f150, was so much that he went to the insurance company, and then same day i got rear ened and i went to the hospital...cop towed my car...when i spoke to the insurance company, they said they won't fix it, they wrote it off and gave me $3000 for my car, i paid about $4500 and drove for 2 years with it

actually chances of them writing off a car is higher then fixing it nowdays. because the insurance companies and the car manufacturers have a agreement in which the insurance company has agreed to write off cars so the manufacturers can sell more new cars in the market.

also for special K were u the one who took the car to that dealership or were u told by the insurance company to go there? if u took it and the insurance company didnt tell u to go there ur liable for their mistake. which means insurance can deny to refix it at their cost. what u will have to do is battle it out with the shop. if insurance told u to go there u have a valid case since they refered u and they will have to cut losses.

and i will call u sometime today

after an accident like that, you trade the car in like nothing happened. then, it's their problem. if they can't fix it right to begin with, then dump the problem on them.
