If you learn on your own car, you'll learn that much quicker cause you won't wanna ruin it.

I got my dad to look for a place to rent standard cars when I just turned 16, but we couldn't find one. I had to learn on my own car (prelude at the time), and I was glad I did because I got very comfortable with it.

Yep I still remember learning on my own when I got my car. I peeled out at every light all the way home haha.

I got my car just before christmas, and was still working at Faireview then. Do you have any idea how hard it is to try and find parking at Fairview during christmas rush, and not being able to drive standard? It was an experience I'll never forget. But once you go standard, you can't go back. There's no point in driving auto. It's like dry****ing a hot girl. Seems like fun at first, but you really never get to experience anything haha.

That's correct, because I've rented a standard car from there before, but it was a '97 Si. Before they did one day rentals.. but last I heard they don't do those anymore.. maybe extended over a few days

I doubt anyone will let you touch their car... your best bet is to sign up a drivers course with an instructor company that offers manual transmission vehicles (ie YD).
