whats funny is if you would have asked... "how clean is your engine bay?" you would have gotten tons of replies with pics

spracingsports - yea maybe ur right
i didnt think people are so sensative with pics of their engine bay on the internet lol

people do mods to their car and post it up all over the web and this forum also
didnt think they're that insecure

v8hunter03 - what about the bolts n stuff? i.e. strut bolts and bolts on headers, etc

ummm most bolts don't ahve rust.. i got everything rust proofed though.. but i got a new engine in tehre and no header bolts right now.. so .. but whether you look under the hood or on the body there is minor rust... you can barely see it and tere is nothing under the car.. its been rustproofed since it was new no probs but it gets messy when you work on it..

that looks pretty mint

the civic i looked at was dirty b/c they dont care about how clean the engine bay was, it was just a family car to get around..

and what concerns me is that the engine bay didnt look as i expected, its only 2 years old, it still should be clean even if they didnt clean it...

oh yea another thing

the engine of the 02' civic lx i looked at had a small engine as i mentioned above... looked probably near as small at that 1.5 sohc up there...
02' lx is 1.7L right? shouldnt it be noticably larger?

My buddys 2000 neon has tons of rust under the hood (on all the bolts), while my 95 civic has very little or none, I think its based on whether the car is garaged or not, cause my car always was, even with the previous owner while my buddy parks his car outdoors.

Seeing those clean engine bays makes me wanna go out and clean mine up. I like to think of it as being protected by a thin layer of dust and grime.

I have a '99 Si and there is some rust on the engine. I think that the majority of the bolts are clean, but most of the rust is actually on the lower portion of the engine. No digi cam so no pics for you.

NO FEAR - not the sensative type

Now that all the rustproofing crap is out of the
engine bay, it's easier to maintain now...
