Doesn't look the greatest but considering that it cost me about $100 in parts and some of my free time (whereas shops were giving me $2000-$3000 estimates) I can't say I'm too disappointed because:
#1 Hood closes
#2 I can drive the ****** again

Thanks and praise go out to corey_hayman and red90dx for hooking me up with all the parts I needed!

I plan on painting it in the spring, however it's not perfect. There are still gaps that have to be fixed which I really couldn't do myself. For example...the hood doesn't sit as far down as it should on the bumper filler and little stuff like that. You can't tell in the pic but I also still need a new front windshield.

Don't worry about sanding the hood, you're just wasting your time.
You want to do a quick job
STEP#1 Wash it with TSP
STEP#2 Let it dry
STEP#3 Use your favorite spray paint to paint several light coast (3-7) with drying time inbetween coats depending on the gloss level of the paint. more drying time for glossier paints, less drying time for matt finishes.

Ok thanks...I just noticed some **** leaking from my car...it ended up being water from what I can tell and where my spare tire is in the trunk there's a few puddles of it. I wonder where the heck it's getting in from.
