People sleeping in cars?
does anybody know what happened last night on the 401 west? i left the meet at lik 1:45 and it was blocked off around bayview and was forced to exit at young street. all lanes of the express were stopped for miles. people like i said abandoned thier cars and were sleeping in their cars.
does anybody know whats up?

I was there
I left the meet around 12:00 and I was stuck in the middle of the thing. I sat in traffic for a good hour and a half. I should have stayed at the meet.
When it finally got moving, it looked like there was a dump truck that smashed into, then flipped over a barrier.
There was that sand on the road that is used to clean up spills... But I think there were other issues that were probably removed before I got there

Ya that was super crazy! There was no one in their cars? Like even the last cars on the road where just sitting there? I would of turned around and left! Damn! Oh well, it was a nice cruise i guess!..lol..

I don't know about people sleeping in their cars (if it happened that late and nobody could go anywhere then I'd go to sleep too if I were tired! lol) but I heard on the radio that the accident happened right where the Express lanes merge with the Collectors west of Yonge St. The major problem was the construction in the express lanes and everybody was being forced out to the Collectors. I drove there at about 11 and I didn't have a problem but I could see how it could pose a problem to the blind or drivers who aren't paying proper attention. Hope no one was killed in the accident.

Well its was pretty hard to turn around and take off when every car surrounding you had its engine shut down and you were boxed. 
I did incidently see 3 Hells Angels Ontario Chapter Cruise down the emergency shoulder past me, about a half hour later I saw them turn around and cruise past me again.
Now that I had a chance to think about the time... it must have been at least 2 hours I was stuck on the road.
It was pretty interesting because people were getting out of their cars and talking to each other.
This never would have happened if it was a WEST SIDE meet
