New Guy

Hey everyone,

My name's Rich. I dropped by one of your meets a couple weeks ago. I'm William's cousin (the guy who lost his civic hb) and Chris' buddy from school. It looks like I'm gonna be getting a '93 del Sol soon but I wanna get the VIN number checked before I finalize anything on Tuesday...

So can anyone hook up a carfax please?

It's:

JHMEH6160PS001411

Thanks and looking forward to joining TCC in the future

-Rich

Deb,

he didnt lose his car....his cousin will who is part of tcc did. The del SLO that he is getting is the exact same color as yours with some gay little graphic on the side. I tried to talk him outta it but he wouldnt listen.

should never post vin on the board
best thing to do is to just go to the drivers place and get one done up

by the way

I'd suggest coughing up the 13 bucks to run the vin through the ministry reports ... I think their are more details there....

anyways welcome to the board....

Well, the car's already got all service records...so I wouldn't really need to do a VIN check right?

i still would check it.. check your local ministry records or wutever everyone else is saying (im not sure how it works out there in ontario) and also, check carfax.. your local vin check will have things carfax wont.. and carfax may have things your local one doesnt.. ive done both and from carfax, turned out my car was registered down in california for a brief period of time.. but the local vin check didnt tell me that =)

Thanks a lot Astro

I'm gonna check out the VIN and see what's going on...but it turns out horrible news is coming through with the Sol

The dealer ripped us off, cause my dad and I are gonna co-sign for a loan but we gotta wait until Tuesday to see if we can get the money or not (since my dad has bad credit). We dropped $500 to the guy to make sure he doesn't sell it to anyone else, and then the guy called me one day and said he needed to talk to my dad.

Well first he told my dad how he has someone else looking to buy the car and told my dad that if we didn't get the money on Tuesday he's gonna keep the $500 instead of giving it back to us (like we originally planned).

Now my dad panicked and well he screwed up telling the guy to go ahead and sell the car if he can as long as we get our money. So my dad pretty much screwed up the whole contract we had and now I might lose the car.

It sucks but now I got mixed feelings anyways if I end up being able to buy the car. I don't want to deal with that ******* since he almost ripped us off and well I realized I'm paying $11,000 for a '93 car with 120,000 km and a botched scratch paint job (RIPOFF). I've been looking at a few GSR and they've dropped prices considerably...so I might just end up grabbing one of those.

Of course then I'd have to change my username and won't be able to join you guys

Decisions.
