Need some advice(reckless driving)

Aren't you the idiot that wanted to bring home that girl you just met that had the bad history? What did you do now, drive around her school to impress her? Seems like you better impress the NB justice system now....
However, yes please, keep up these posts of your stupidity, it definitely is entertaining. I suggest you finish your tour of NB by driving your car into a store window or something, go out with a bang you know?

This issue here isn't speeding, for which you would need a radar reading or pacing evidence. It's about reckless driving conduct. You can be charged and taken to court here in Ontario based on non-police witness statements, as per the Roadwatch program.
All they need is a credible witness who is willing to testify in court as to what he or she saw. It seems that the witness in this case is a teacher at the school. That teacher has every incentive to go to court and give evidence.

From what you describe, you could be looking at anything right up to Criminal Code dangerous driving.
Sell the car. Use the money to pay for a lawyer if you get charged, or a bicycle or bus ticket home if you're lucky enough to not get charged.
Some people just shouldn't be allowed to drive.

How can they just give you a ticket though? I mean in terms of the highway traffic act, the cop has to see you and give you a ticket right there. He CANNOT ticket you because someone saw you speeding or running stop signs, etc. I don't see how he can say "yeah we'll come up with something to charge you with later"...
I'd be pissed-off to know that anyone was doing that on school property.
I believe that i've been "red-flagged" for making my motor scream in a 40 zone, though i've never broken the speed limit.

Oh thanks guys I guess Im ****ed.
its all provincal anyways, they cant hunt me down in Ontario.. I think.
I have to give a statement tomorrow at 2pm, all they got on me is a teacher saying we were driving 100kmh and they identified my ontario plates.
how the **** can you do 100km in a strip of road thats less than 30meters with my civic starting from zero. what I did was spin my tires and followed my friend I did maybe 50kmh in a 40 zone, theres no direct evidence that I was doing excessive speed.. the teacher didnt have a radar and theres no video.

if the teacher has to come to toronto. which she wont, that would mean you could get away?
and Jeremy, what kind of vacation are you on? bringin back random chicks and getting arrested...

Well if they got you for speeding, and since there's no radar or pacing evidence, aside from the teacher, who I'm fairly certain has had no formal training on being to judge vehicle speed from a distance, or perhaps even through a classroom window, there is a possibility that you may get this all dismissed. If it were me, I would definitely talk to a lawyer or traffic court place before giving a statement.

So wait, if i understand this correctly, the teacher will have to go to court in Ontario? or can she give all the information at the local court house and that statement will get sent to the court house here for Jeremy's trial?

All of the provinces have reciprocity arrangements with each other for provincial driving offences. If they want, they can suspend your license in Ontario for what you did in New Brunswick.
On top of that, if they decide to charge you with dangerous driving, that's a federal Criminal Code offence. For that they can hunt you down and transport you back to New Brunswick.
You won't be charged with speeding, so the teacher doesn't need to have had radar. Depending on what you get charged with, the teacher just has to say that he saw you light up your tires and drive excessively fast and recklessly. He doesn't need radar or video to express his opinion that you were driving too fast or recklessly. If there were other vehicles or people around, he can say that you did so in close proximity to those others, thus endangering them.
If the local judge believes him, that's enough to convict you. Given that he's a teacher, he'll already have a high degree of credibility in the eyes of the court.

Honestly man, call a lawyer and have him deal with it. With everything that could happen to you, its not worth going at it alone.

If charged provincial under the New Brunswick Motor Vehicle Act, they will register a conviction against him and send him a notice of conviction together with a demand for fine payment. If the judge orders a license suspension, that will be sent to the MTO in Ontario. If he skips out on the fine, again, that too will be sent to the MTO and his license will be suspended here.
If charged criminally and he skips out, they'll issue a warrant for his arrest, register a conviction in abstentia, and the go through license suspension together with MTO.

No, the offence occurred in New Brunswick. If charges are laid, he'll have to stand trial in New Brunswick. If he skips out, what happens next depends on what he is charged with.
