My pocket rocket needs a bandage for her boo-boo

Well, it finally happened. I was on my way to Mohawk College for a 9am exam when the lady in front of me gets cut off and I ended up rear ending her pretty good. Her car wasn't too bad but the bumper is obviously gonna be replaced. My car, since it's lowered, doesn't really have anything on the front bumper but the hood and right headlight are pushed in. Also, what I'm worried about most is the part that is on top of the bumper and goes around the front of the car. Is that fixable? Cuz it's totally pushed in...like my rad and **** are diagonal now. I just hope my insurance company covers this. The lady also knows it wasn't my fault. Man my life really stinks.

sorry to hear, if the insurance covers it, screw stuff up such as the rad and manifold cover, so u get some new parts. Might as well screw the insurance company

yes...the cop didn't even look at anything. He just pulled up and gave me directions to their central station to fill out reports. The lady said my insurance will know about it but I don't necessarily have to claim it. Anyone on this board own or work at a body shop that might be able to fix it for me if I don't claim it? The lady knows it wasn't my fault that I rear ended her so I'm pretty sure her insurance can fix her bumper for her without dealing with my insurance.

rear ending someone is always your fault for following too closely... in terms of the law anyways - insurance will deem you at-fault and rape you. It's best to fix this one yourself. The whole rad support can be replaced with a part from Cross Canada.

If you and her go through insurance, #1 your insurance will go up because you rear-ended her.

If there isn't significant damage, make sure she does not call her insurance company, and just get it fixed.

PM me and I'll give you the contact of a reputable bodyshop.

I'm not sure if its the rad support...it like goes around the top of the bumper under the hood and is painted white just like the body and it ends on each corner where the fenders or whatever start. Is that a rad support or is the rad support under that?

And even if they contact the insurance company, like I said, I don't have to make a claim.

You mean you need a bumper re-bar or support.

he called it a "filler" or "grill thingy" basically its not something UNDER the hood...its part of the body and is visible from outside. when you close your hood the hood lines the top of the headlights and this whateveritscalled lines the bottom of the headlights. he said the rebar might need to be replaced as well. i was thinking about getting a cf hood and save on the painting and **** if i decided to fix it. BB1_EG6: im not from hamilton but i go to school and work there...where abouts are you and when can you look at it? tomorrow i have a baptism so its no good for me.
