Question Lucky Star Auto Parts

Hi, I live near the Rochester NY area and I was just curious if you guys have any info. on this business. Ive heard both good and bad things about them, just wondering what your experience was like if you have ordered through them. I also have heard you can visit their warehouse and do a walk in and purchase sort of thing, is this true? Thanks.

Well I don't personally have any experience with them but.., the majority of what I've heard has been bad. Just my $.02.

I guess they just pick and choose who there nice too. Oh and for the walk in choose thing, yeah thats what i did they have a shitload off engines, and parts, you pick and choose what you want.

and if you do a search here you'll see they don't mind selling you a d16y7 instead of a d16y8 if you don't know the difference

Damn thanks for the info. Ive heard alot of people ordering complete motors from them and ending up with just parts and/or missing parts. I think Ill suggest my friend to go elsewhere. Do you dudes know of any other Toronto area dealers that have decent motors/parts and are legit? What Im trying to find is a place not too far away where I can walk in and look at what Im gonna buy rather than ordering over phone/web. (if such a place exists?)Thanks.

Do you guys know what a chop shop is? You guys are really fucked up, seriously, they dont sell stolen parts its all legit, and its your fault if you cant tell the engines apart, you should do your own research. I dont blame then for trying to rip off some little punk who knows **** about cars, if i was them id do the same thing.

yes a business only survives based on good customer service ...even if I can't tell the difference between a lawnmower engine and an H22 ...I should still get the engine I ordered....nothing else thats just plain decietful and is not a business I would ever deal with honest hard working companies are what I trust ....no lucky star hope you get what you ordered sort of place buying an engine is not like ordering the surprise of the day at a restruant.

My cousin got his motor stolen out of his GSR last year and went to LUCKY STAR. They showed him some used motors - he picked out a specific one and asked where they got it from. They said it was pulled outta a GSR from the junk yard. He said "BULLSH*T", he called them on it right away on the spot because that motor was his (there was "CP" etched on the side - my cousin's initials - he did it the first night he got his teg with a bunch of friends [drunk].

His best friend brought his car there to get his tranny fixed, not swapped, but he still ended up with a different tranny that's not even for his car. They said it was the same one and that he probably brought it in that way. Really!?!?! LOL! That's really funny.

Another incident would be a co-worker of mine who actually used to chop cars for them. Yes that means stealing them and brining them back to the shop to get chopped. We're not all that naive about Chop Shops. Do you know what a CHOP SHOP is?? They swap sh*t outta people's cars ALL THE TIME - yes I said ALL THE TIME (in case you have a hearing problem)

So don't tell me I don't know the f*ckin' shop MARKPA. Thanks for coming out though. Do you own it or do you work there? Just asking because you're the only so passionate about defending them.

Good for you that you got a good job done
Here's a medal buddy!

Have a good day & drive safe!
