little help

hey guys

i kind of need a little help here. I want to change the fender (rusted) and rear right passenger door ( i hit it) of my 2000 honda civic se (4 door) . The car is silver ( pretty common) and its just not worth it to fix it . I just got a quote for 1500 to get it fix which is too much

I m wondering where is the best place to find these two parts, i called a couple of junk yards and they do not have these parts , at least not this colour. Anyone with some input?

thanks

usually its best to wait around until someone decides to part out. I've seen the fenders and doors for sale quite often on the tcc forum and classifieds, such as kijiji.ca. It is definitely not worth 1500 to repair. Try to look for a car that is vsm in color as it will simplify everything and save you some money. However, if you can't wait until a part out etc, try mikes auto parts in Hamilton, thats where I recently purchased a 96 fender and hood. Should run you around 250 for the door and around 75 for the fender at the junkyard. Also, the doors they sell you at the junkyard usually does not include the glass or interior. Hope that helps.

Keep checking the Classifieds and place an add in the WTB's.

thanks guys

i can wait , i have two cars, but it would be nice if i can get it now. The door is just hit so i can just transfer the inside and the glass no problem and the fender is pretty easy to change as far as i can see.

i checked the classifieds but nothing , i ll check those two places , hopefully i ll find something

Do you guys know if i can use a different year civic door or fender??

as for the fender, it will have to be from a 99-00 civic sedan. 96-00 doors should fit as the only difference I know of between the EK's are the front end.

Search the classified on here. I could have sworn I saw a dude on here selling fenders for your car not to long ago.
