Lots of people do ride bicycles in Japan. It's very pricey to own a car there. Getting a license is damn hard too.

I read on many websites that japan has one of the strictest laws in the world.
for one they dont have the ULEV like we do they have SULEV which is even harder to pass. secondly its at 60k they have to take the car off the road.
i am pretty shure i can get some background proof on this i am just lazy

SULEV was actually designed for California which has the strictest emissions standards in the world. Uhh, trust me. (If anyone wants to know, SULEV stands for Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle).

If you can prove that cars have to be taken off after 60k, I would like to see that. My father who also works in Japan has a car with over 100k and a van with like 200k. He doesn't have any problems with driving it and he hasn't talked about needing to replace it because of any government laws.

I lived in Japan for a few years and I did know people who had cars with over 100k on them. Admittedly, they were far and few in between but they were there.

Therefore, In conclusion to this: these engines that come from japan and are being sold here might have more km than what they r being advertised at

i think the japanese are smart. since they drive very little and seem to out think the rest of north america. to them they are simply dumping garbage after all they use 50,000km which is the same as 300,000km here in north america. so they get rid of the engines and make money and not have to worry about dumping these engines in the ocean. and in a way we are benefiting from it too.

but i think that the japanese are way smarter than us to simply throw us good engines.
