Angry I'm F@#KIN' PISSED!!!

Finish my shift @ 7am and am glad it's over cuz I'm dead tired. Walk to my car in the parking lot and what do I see.....SOMEONE HAS FUKIN' HIT MY CAR!!!:fustrated Front bumper, passenger side, right by the headlight. I just freaked. Inspected the car beside me and no damage. So the ****** must've either hit my car and then parked somewhere else or the person who I parked beside when I started my shift (7pm) pulled out, hit it and took off. I'm going to work early, taking my digi cam and gonna cruise around the lot looking for a blue car with damage. I know it's blue cuz when I got home I tried to see if some of the marks were just surface scratches. Nope, fukin' right down to the black plastic. But the towel yielded blue colouring. I took some pics of the damage but can't upload them cuz I'm house sitting for my sis for 2 weeks. My car just looks like *** now.

Just wondering, is it worth reporting it to my insurance and seeing if they'll cover the cost of repairing it? It's probably not THAT bad it just looks ****. I might be able to fix it. *SIGH* I feel like hunting the ***** down.

Well - your deductable for a collision is prob $500. And then the fact it is a hit and run casts a nasty light onto you becasue insurance just assumes you hit something/someone.

Have it appraised and then make your decision form there. If is just a couple hundred to respray the bumber, suck it up. But if you need to replace a fender or ront quarter, you may want to claim it.

sux either way...sorry bro. Oh - and isn't it kinda early in the winter for you to start Facking up your car. You usually wait a bit don't you??? j/k

Sorry to hear that man. It's unfortunate that people these days have no respect for other property. The least the person could have done is left a note with contact info.

My suggestion is to take it to a shop for a quote. If the quote is a lot more than your insurance deductable then I would say go through insurance. Otherwise just pay for the repair out of your own pocket.

That's my advice! Good luck!

that flickin sucks.like majorly sucks man i feel for you.was there any cracks or deep scratches on the bumper it only cast $500 to repaint that, that's if theres no deep scratch's.

I wouldn't go through insurance you primieum will go higher unless you haven't made a claim yet go ahead because the give you 1 leeway a year so your insurance rates don't change

Repainting a bumber is $2-300, so it will be less than your deductible. If you look here and on CSi, you will often see people selling bumpers for $100-150.

Because this is from parking lot damage it falls under Comprehensive, not collision so it won't be classified as hit in run.

Unless you find the guy, you're going to have to pay for this one out of your own pocket or go through insurance.

If you don't have any claims on your record, you might want to use some of that insurance and make a claim.

Its actually okay to make a comprehensive claim every 1-2 years.

Thanks for your sympathies guys and gal I filed a report with our security department here at work and they said that there was nothing that they could do cuz the area I parked in was a "dead" zone. No camera coverage. So all they did was file my report.

On that note, anyone know a good body/paint shop to get this **** appraised?

That's a real kick in the nuts.

I really don't understand how one can be so retarded and hit another car or fling their doors open into other cars in a parking lot.

Just plain ignorance I guess.

I watch my car like a hawk at my work parking lot.

I also try to avoid spending more time than what's necessary in malls, and I park miles away, beside where there's no other parking spot... always with a curb on one side.

OK, here's the pix of my bumper I said I would post. I'm going to try and wet sand it or use a rubbing compound to see if it'll get rid of some of the marks and then buff it out. If it doesn't work then I'm just going to use touch up paint. I know it'll probably look crap but I'm thinking of getting a paint job later on, so no need to spend large $$ at the moment.
