LOL
this is the funniest post i have read so far by you.
500 for a quater? from lexus? with 25 percent off?
what exactly is a quater going to do in this case?
i hope you realize you need a complete rear end half cut. unless you dad already sourced one out good luck trying to find it.
i hope you guys dont hack this car by pulling the damages and then replacing the skins to make it look proper eventhough in reality its bad.
the only true way to fix this car so its 100 percent mint again is to drill out the complete rear section of this car and put in a preassembled rear end from a cut car and then have it painted this is the ONLY way to have it a perfect car.
3-4k to fix this is is HIGHLY impossible.
replacement rear glass for this car alone is 500 and up.

Guy there is no way you can get the complete quarter for $500. Lexus dosnt sell the rear end anyway. Its going to have to be used from wreckers or something. And what Jay said. You need to drill out the welds and cut the rear end and replace it.

good luck.
I remember seeing those wrecks at the auctions. Driving in with crushed rear ends selling for peanuts.
You gotta remember though, dealers don't just pass up "goldmines" like this. Most of them know the amount of work and money involved to make the car like new and profitable.
Also selling wise, when you are dealing with cars valued in the 30K+ range, an accident like this will be reported and on the history. Regardless of if the car is branded or not, you will have a lot of trouble selling this car. I know a guy that works at Fine Motors and 95% of people hear about even a little accident and they walk out, doesn't matter if the car is 10K cheaper. If you are going to spend 30K+(in this case up to 50K), you make sure the car is PERFECT!
However, If you are willing to do the work and spend the money then it's worth it as long as you plan on driving it yourself for years to come.

my car was salvage, a huge front end hit.. i got my 2003 civic for like... 2 grand back in 2005... i fixed it for 2-3 grand... i been drivin it daily 100km's ever since...
The lexus collision is NOTHING compared to how my car looked before it was fixed.
btw.. there is no history of an accident... plus its not branded.
